I din't do anything spectacular but boy am I happy to be alive and ready for life...including the bumps along the way - because life's an adventure and i'm going to enjoy it.

The cat and the hair appointment
I currently have my feet up, having a well deserved rest because my legs are fried. You know then pain when you have ran/sprinted in flip flops and a skirt. Well i will get to that part of my day shortly.
My alarm went off at 7am, and i have to hit snooze at least twice before i can get up. So between my 2nd and 3rd snooze i feel the cat jump on my bed, and then hear him throw up on my bed, and then jumps off. I was so mad. It's bad enough the cat throwing up, but on my bed and at 7am is just not cool. So i will admit i started the day off as being Grumpy from the Seven Dwarfs.
But today was the long awaited day. I had an appointment to get my hair cut. I got an amazing deal to get my hair cut for just £18 instead of £89 at a mega nice salon in Manchester. But I had to book 5 weeks in advance because they are crazy busy. So I decided to leave nice and early to get the Metro in. After 5minutes of the journey the tram broke down. I was stuck at Brooklands Station. By the time i found out the tram service had been suspended it was 2.50 (10minutes till my apt). I called the salon and they said they can wait till 3.30 at the very latest for me, there are no more appointments till mid May. The only way left was to get back to my house and drive in. My house is a 25minute walk from Brooklands station, it takes 20-25minutes to drive in to Manchester, and then the hairdressers is a 10-15minute walk from parking. Thats 1 hour, i had 35minutes. But i figured if I fail i will atleast go down with a fight. Oh i forgot to mention i was wearing a skirt and flip flops (not good running attire). So i ran to my house (8 minutes). Drove as fast as i could to town (20minutes). Parked up (2minutes). Ran to the hairdressers (5 minutes). I ran through the hairdressers door at exactly 3.30! SUCCESS. So today i learnt a valuable lesson in that effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit. After my epic race there in flip flops and a skirt i requested they wash my hair with nice cold water because I'm not going to lie, i was as sweaty as and arm pit.
And that was my adventure of the day....till next time.

The Fiat Punto
I woke up today to my dad giving me a parking fine that came in the post. Thank you Preston for yet another parking ticket. Goodbye £50.
So i have always wondered what i would do if i had put petrol in the car and then went to pay and my card gets declined. Well today that became a reality. I put £30 of petrol in my car, went to pay and my jaw dropped when he said 'sorry your cards been declined'. I was sure he was wrong so i asked to try again, but it was declined again. OH NO, POOP - that was pretty much my response. It's not like you can just give the petrol back and drive away. Luckily Craig was close by and came to rescue me. But hey you gotta just laugh at yourself when you do embarrassing/stupid things, if i didn't i'd be a mess every day.
Today i am grateful that i can laugh at my own stupidity!

Driving in the countryside with the girls
Neglection and the fall
It is safe to say that i have neglected my blog (sorry to all of you 3 followers that probably don't even check my blog). But I am back. The past three months have pretty much consisted of me living in the library doing assignments. I know everyone said second year of university is rough, but ugh. Good news is i finished my very last assignment of the year yesterday (YIPEE).
So today i celebrated starting with lunch at Nandos with Miss Penelope Marson. And mmmm do i love nandos. So after a good old catch up and tasty food we went for a stroll around the shops, i watched Penny buy lots of nice clothes while i struggled to part with my money.

I later went teaching with the missionaries tonight and we got to the apointment early so we decided to knock doors. We talked to this student and set up an appointment with him, he seemed way interested so I was excited. 10minutes later we go to the appointment and it is next door to that guys house and some of his friends knocked at his door. As we were about to walk in to the house we heard from next door 'who is it' and the two friends shouted 'its us why arent you opening the door'. The guy opens the door and rants on about how some weird people came to the door and harrassed him about God....when lo and behold we were stood right there....awkward.
During the past 3 months that i have not wrote one of my most embarrassing moments occurred. It definatley earned a place in the top 3....So i get to unviersity and as I pull up i get a text telling me my assignment was due in in 20 minutes, not 2 hours which i thought it was. I hadn't even finished it let alone printed it off. So i ran to the library. I get to the crossing at the main road and speed walk across but in my mad panic I TRIPPED OVER MY OWN FOOT and fell flat on to my face infront of all these cars waiting for me to cross. If that isnt bad enough my shoe flew off and everything fell out of my bag, including the mountain of sweets i had stashed in there. So i sat on the ground gathering all my sweets up, got my shoe and put it back on my foot and did one person ask if i was ok or help.....no. I may aswell have had LOSER written on my forehead. But the good news is I did get my assignment in on time (well one minute late).

The last day of working at Argos
After armed robberies, having waterfights and two and half years of working there...i no longer work at Argos. I may have had a man with a knife chase me through the store, had heavy boxes fall on my head many of times, and had angry customers scream at me...but oh what a laugh Argos was...who would have thought. The seal/ Elder has left the building
But on to a packed semester of university (boooo)
And maybe some spare time to soak up my new fave program...Americas Next Top Model

the epic snow fall
After a week of snow and -12 degree weather the snow is finally melting (yipee). I have suffered 4 days without water in my house! However it did also provide some amusement as i watched the pipe burst on my dad and got him soaked from head to toe. I also got to do this....
SNOW TUBING
and a nice drive to the York Ball in the snow...
wearing my £4.50 bargain dress of the year!
Oh it's starting to feel a lot like Christmas
